You'll see the following error message in H&R Block’s tax software if, you're a resident of Newfoundland and Labrador (NL) and are claiming an amount greater than $75,000 for your NL Venture Capital Tax Credit:

The total amount of the NL venture capital tax credit can’t be more than $75,000. Please correct the amount you entered. [error code: 243]

How do I fix this?

Enter the correct amount of the tax credit shown on all your NL VCTC Certificates. This amount cannot be more than $75,000.
