You’ll see the following error message in H&R Block’s 2017 tax software if you selected a province or territory of self-employment on the LET’S TALK ABOUT 2017 page that differs from that of your business address on the T2125: Statement of business or professional activities page:
The province or territory where you were self-employed and that of your business address must be the same. Let’s take a moment to go back and fix this. [error code: 405]
How do I fix this?
To correct this error, return to the T2125 page in H&R Block’s tax software and double check the province or territory you selected from the dropdown menu in the Your business’ address section. If the correct province or territory is already selected, return to the LET’S TALK ABOUT 2017 page and make sure you chose the correct province or territory of self-employment when you selected the checkbox I worked for myself. Remember, the province or territory of self-employment and that of your business must be the same.
Note: You can find the T2125 page under the EMPLOYMENT icon of the PREPARE tab.
