You’ll see the following error message in H&R Block’s 2017 tax software if you entered your taxable CPP/QPP benefit amount in box 20 of the T4A(P): Statement of Canada Pension Plan Benefits page, and entered the number of months you received retirement benefits in box 23, but didn’t enter the corresponding retirement benefit amount in box 14:
On the T4A(P) page, you entered taxable CPP benefits in box 20 and chose the number of months you received retirement benefits (box 23), but you didn’t enter an amount in box 14 for your retirement benefit. Enter the amount for box 14 shown on the T4A(P) slip you received. [error code: 120]
How do I fix this?
Go back to the T4A(P) page and enter an amount in box 14 (as shown on your T4A(P) slip).
Note: You can enter your T4A(P) slip on the QUICK SLIP page under the QUICK ENTRY tab. Simply type T4A(P) in the search field then click the highlighted selection or press Enter to continue.
