You will see the following warning message in H&R Block’s 2017 tax software if you entered an amount that exceeds the maximum CPP/QPP pensionable earnings amount on the T4: Statement of remuneration page:

CPP/QPP pensionable earnings can’t exceed $55,300.00. Make sure you entered the amount shown in box 26 on the T4 slip correctly. [Warning]

How do I fix this?

To clear this warning, return to the T4 page in the tax software and enter the correct amount found in box 26 of your paper T4 slip, into the designated field.

Note: To enter your T4 slip into the software, go to the QUICK ENTRY tab and click on the QUICK SLIP icon. Type "T4" in the search field and click the highlighted selection or press Enter to continue.
