Error code 176

You’ll see the following warning message in H&R Block’s 2017 tax software if you indicated that you were enrolled in part-time and full-time courses during the year for more than 12 months:

The total number of months you attended school full-time and part-time for all your T2202A and/or TL11A/TL11B/TL11C pages combined adds up to more than {1}. Make sure you chose the correct number of months shown in box B and box C on all the T2202A, TL11A, TL11B, and TL11C slips you received. If you chose the correct number of months for all your slips, you can ignore this warning. [warning]

How do I fix this?

To fix the warning, return to the T2202A or TL11A page and enter the correct number of months you spent enrolled in part-time and full-time courses, as shown on your T2202A or TL11A certificate (from your school).

Note: You can add your T2202A or TL11A certificate on the QUICK SLIP page under the QUICK ENTRY tab. Enter the name of the certificate in the search field. Click the highlighted selection or press Enter to continue.
