How do I change the native language of my browser?

To change the native language of your browser, follow the instructions below that are specific to your browser.

WARNING: Changing the native language of your browser will change the language displayed for every website you visit.

Firefox

  1. Open the Firefox browser.
  2. Click the three horizontal lines located in the top right corner.



  3. Scroll down to Language and Appearance.
  4. Click Choose



  5. In the Languages menu, select your language of choice or add a new language.

     

Google Chrome

  1. Open the Google Chrome browser.
  2. Click the icon with the three vertical dots located in the top right corner.



  3. Click Settings.
  4. Scroll down to the Languages box.
  5. Click the dropdown icon to open the Languages menu.



  6. Make your choice of installed languages or add a language to your browser.



Internet Explorer

  1. Open the Internet Explorer browser.
  2. Click the gear-shaped menu icon in the top right corner.



  3. Click Internet Options.
  4. In the Internet Options menu, click Languages.



  5. In the Language Preference menu, click Set Language Preferences



  6. Select your language of choice or add a new language. 



Safari (Mac OS X)

  1. Go to System Preferences



  2. Select Language & Region



  3. Select Preferred Languages and make your selection.

     

Note: This option will change the language of your entire user interface, not just your browser language preferences, so ensure you know how to switch back to your regular language.
